Dumbest assumptions you made about a game?

For the longest time I thought stars without numbers, and worlds without numbers, was like a dice-less, stat-less system, because I didn't know about the bible verse asking to count the stars if you are able to even number them. So though without numbers referred to the game system rather than the setting
